Robin Thicke, Paula Patton Are Officially Divorced

Judge grants the split five months after the actress filed.

In less than one month, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton's decades-long love story will officially be history. The former couple were granted a divorce on March 17, five months after Patton, 39, first filed, according to People.
Their marriage will officially be over on April 14, the divorce papers state.

The pair, who have been together since they were teenagers, announced their separation last February. "We will always love each other and be best friends. However, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," they said in a joint statement.
Though the exes have both moved on to new relationships — Patton is dating musician Zak Waters while Thicke is with 19-year-old model April Love Geary — Patton admitted recently that breaking up has been difficult. "I mean, the honest truth is, it has been challenging. But it's been a year of growth ... learning about all new things," she told Good Morning America earlier this month.
"The thing is, you can't wallow in sadness or stay in bed when you have a child," she added. "And they're so full of life and wonder. And he brings me so much joy."
The couple share custody of their four-year-old son, Julian Fuego.
