Ease on Down: Ne-Yo, Common and Elijah Kelley Join NBC's The Wiz

They will join Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Stephanie Mills and more for the live production.

The cast of NBC's upcoming live production of The Wiz just keeps getting better with three more big names added to the list. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ne-Yo, Common and Elijah Kelley are now a part of the already star-studded lineup.

Bob Greenblatt, NBC's Entertainment chairman, announced their roles during the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Ne-Yo will play the Tin Man, Kelley — most known for his role in Hairspray — will play the Scarecrow and Common will play the gatekeeper to Oz.

The three actors will join A-listers Queen Latifah (the Wiz), Mary J. Blige (Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West), David Alan Grier (the Cowardly Lion), Stephanie Mills (Aunt Em), Uzo Aduba (Glinda, the Good Witch of the South), Amber Riley (Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North), and newcomer Shanice Williams (Dorothy) for the incredible cast.

The Wiz is set to air on Thursday December 3 on NBC, following the South of Music and Peter Pan.
