Fans of Tracy Morgan are in for a treat. After he took a hiatus from comedy since early 2014 to tend to his health, the funny man is ready to take the stage again. He will make his official return to the scene on the third episode of the upcoming season of Saturday Night Live.
Morgan has a long-standing history with the show. He was a cast member from 1996 to 2003 and returned to host in 2009. An excited Morgan made the announcement via Twitter.
Most recently, he was absent from the comedy world after suffering severe injuries from a near fatal car crash. Speaking with Matt Lauer, Morgan said his return to comedy would definitely be an emotional one.
"I have my good days and my bad days," he said. "Sometimes, I don't feel well, sometimes emotionally I don't feel well and I'm not ready for crowds of people because I'm really focused on my memory coming back to me."
It's great knowing that he is seemingly in the place where he can now make his return. Welcome back, Tracy!
