What Kobe Bryant and Taylor Swift Have in Common

Baller pops up at concert and gives singer a special banner.

Taylor Swift's 1989 tour is doing big things and Kobe Bryant wanted to congratulate the singer on one of her accomplishments, when she came to his home turf. During her tour stop at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, the Lakers shooting guard gave the superstar a banner for having a record number of sold-out shows at the venue.

During this tour, the "Shake It Off" singer has sold-out five shows already at the Staples Center, making it 16 thus far in her career and the most in the venue's history. Bryant hopped on stage on Friday night (August 21) to surprise her with a banner reading, "Taylor Swift, most sold out performances."

"16 is a very special number here in Los Angeles because 16 is the same amount of championships that we have as a Lakers franchise," the baller told the audience, according to Entertainment Tonight. "To celebrate those championships, we do something very special. We hang banners. That's what we do."

Swift had no idea of the surprise, looking completely floored by the announcement.

Who would've thought Taylor Swift and Kobe Bryant had anything in common. Congrats, Taylor!
