'All I Want for Christmas Is You' Is Being Turned Into a Children's Book
Mariah Carey's Christmas classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You" has conquered the holiday music charts and now the icon is remolding the idea with the hopes of dominating another market: books. People reports that Carey is set to make a children's book based on the popular holiday song.
Simply titled All I Want for Christmas Is You, the children's picture book will mark the singer's official debut as an author. "When I wrote 'All I Want For Christmas Is You,' it was my dream for it to become a classic Christmas song," she said in a statement. "I am so proud of the song's impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year... I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families with the picture book."
The picture book features the full lyrics to the number one hit while telling the story of a little girl whose greatest holiday wish is to receive a new puppy.
The song was first released in 1994 and has sold more than 14 million copies worldwide.
All I Want for Christmas Is You hits bookstore shelves on November 10.
