Spike Lee Set to Receive Honorary Oscar

It will all take place at the Governors Awards on November 14.

Veteran filmmaker and actor Spike Lee is set to receive one of the greatest honors possible. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he, along with two other recipients, will receive honorary Oscars at the Governors Awards in November.

Both Lee and actress Gena Rowlands will be presented with honorary awards, while entertainer Debbie Reynolds will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. The receipients for the awards were determined on Tuesday night (August 25) at a meeting of the Academy's board of governors.

The awards will be presented at the seventh annual Governors Awards on November 14 at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood and Highland.
