Tracy Morgan Is Ready For a Comeback
Tracy Morgan left a lot on the table when his horrific 2014 car crash put him out of commission for over a year. But now, the actor is ready to get back to doing what he does best: making people laugh.
One of the projects that has been hanging in the balance is a new comedy series starring Morgan for FXX. Though the as-yet-untitled series is not quite moving full-steam ahead, FX CEO John Landgraf says that the network is optimistic about getting it back on track.
“We know he wants to do it,” says Graf, adding that the creative team behind the project is still in place, waiting for Morgan whenever he's ready. “We continue to work on developing the script.”
That day may come sooner than we think. Morgan was seen looking better than ever in New York City on Friday, where he joked around with fans after parking his Lamborghini. Though he's still walking with a cane, Morgan attended a Yankees game and celebrated his daughter's second birthday at Disney World this past month.
Public sightings of Morgan have increased dramatically since his lawsuit against Wal-Mart was settled for a hefty sum. Morgan and his attorneys also ensured that the settlement took care of the family of his buddy James McNair, who sadly died in the crash with a Wal-Mart delivery truck on the New Jersey turnpike.
Hopefully we'll be seeing even more of Tracy in the near future.
