Oops: DMX's Paternity Documents Mailed to Wrong Earl Simmons

Some guy in Massachusetts has to prove he's not a Ruff Ryder.

A guy named Earl Simmons from Massachusetts got a big surprise in the mail recently when he received paternity documents and an order to pay child support intended for rapper DMX, who shares the same legal name. 
In an awkward mixup, a Florida court sent the order for Simmons to send monthly checks for his two children with ex Yadira Borrego to the wrong guy. What's more, the non-rapper Simmons — who is already a father of two — now has to take a paternity test to prove he's not the father of Borrego's children. 
As for the custody order, TMZ reports that it's not a Dr. Phil-worthy situation. X has already been supporting his kids with Borrego off the books, but they decided to document the payments so he gets credit for good behavior and avoids another jail stint.
