Khloé Praying Lamar's Health Scare Will Be a 'Reality Check'
Lamar Odom defied the odds this week, but the former athlete's health is still very uncertain. Doctors at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles are doing extensive tests on the two-time NBA champion to determine the extent of damage the three-day drug binge left on his body and brain. It has already been reported that Odom will likely need a kidney transplant.
“He’s still really, really sick,” the source tells Us Weekly. “There are a million things they’re doing to him still. He’s not doing well. He’s talking a little bit, but not full sentences.
His estranged wife, Khloé Kardashian, who has been at his side from the moment she arrived at the hospital last Tuesday, accompanied him in the helicopter that brought them to Los Angeles from Nevada. "The past week has been incredibly difficult," Khloe wrote on her website on Tuesday. "I am so thankful to family, friends, and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. ... You can never be prepared for an experience like this."
According to People.com, Lamar's near-death scare is exactly what she has feared for years. People's source said, "Everyone is hoping that this will be a reality check for him and that he will make a change in his life and be the man he was created to be."
Hopefully, things will continue to look better for Lamar. Watch a recap of the tragedy below:
