Billboard Gets Dragged for North West Tweet

Publication blasted for sexualizing Kim and Kanye's daughter.

The Kardashians are usually safe targets when it comes to crude jokes, but Billboard crossed the line when the publication aimed at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter North West.

The influential magazine posted a picture of baby North licking a lollipop with the caption, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Billboard's intent was, they insist, far from suggestive — the tweet was meant to comment on North's expert handling of the paparazzi last week—but Twitter was having none of it. 

Billboard quickly deleted the tweet and replaced it with a new one: "North West is already pretty sassy (but in a cute way)."

The magazine also posted the following apology: "We apologize for the tweet involving North West. The caption was about her comments to paparazzi. The suggestion some see was not intended."
