Tamar Braxton has been rushed to the hospital after suffering a bad bout of pneumonia, TMZ reports. The Real host and Dancing With the Stars contestant has been battling the illness for two weeks, and hit a low during today's rehearsals for the competition series.
"Tamar is not here. You've noticed that. She was taken to the hospital earlier today midday through dress rehearsal," co-host Tom Bergeron said at the top of the broadcast. "Now, I underscored at the top, this is very much a live show. We don't have all the information right now. She might return in time to dance live here. We'll keep you posted as we learn more." Instead of a live performance, the judges scored a taped rehearsal, giving Braxton and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy a 22 out of 30 score.
A source says her husband Vince Herbert took her to the emergency room. While Tamar's health is the most important thing, her absense from DWTS tonight could cost her a chance at the trophy. Earlier in the season, her fellow contestant Kim Zolciak was eliminated after suffering a mini-stroke.
There's still a chance Tamar will return for the episode's final group dance, but for now, we just hope she feels better soon!
