Mendeecees Harris, star of Love & Hip Hop New York, will spend the next 97 months behind bars. According to Democrat & Chronicle, the reality star was sentenced this morning after accepting a plea deal back in April.
The deal he aggreed to months ago required him to plead guilty to narcotics conspiracy in exchange for an eight- to 10-year sentence and a fine ranging anywhere between $15,000 and $5 million.
Harris has been free under a bail agreement which required that all of his earnings from the VH1 reality series and his paid public appearances be turned over to the federal government. The amount, which summed up to more than $100,000 back in April, is sure to have significantly increased by now.
Harris married his longtime girlfriend, Yandy Smith, earlier this year, in a televised ceremony titled Love & Hip Hop Love: The Wedding.
