Angie Stone Wants You to Know She Didn't Knock Her Daughter's Teeth Out

She says the tooth probably just fell on its own.

Remember last year when word got out that Angie Stone allegedly got into it with her daughter, knocking her two front teeth out? Well, according to The Grio, the soul singer sat down with Steve Harvey to clear up the crazy rumor.

"No, I did not knock out my daughter's teeth," she said, but went on to imply that there was some beef between the two. "I think that, in her defense, the tooth had probably fell out because one had fallen out a week prior to that tooth coming out. And when you have an altercation as such, you can bite down on your lip, and if a tooth is already brittle and decaying, it's coming out."

So, long story short and dental lesson aside, they definitely fought, but it wasn't her fault. "You know when you [sic] fighting, you like... [miming biting down with her mouth]. You doing something with your mouth."

She did admit, though, that she threatened to knock them out, but didn't actually do it. "I have said, 'I'ma knock your teeth out.'"

Though she and her daughter are on better grounds now, Angie did say that she doesn't regret the altercation. "It's not that I'm proud of it but you not going to fight me in my house," she said. "You're not going to fight me period. I am your mother and that's how that go."
