Back Off, Twitter: Racist Comments on Tatyana Ali's Fiancé Really Miss the Mark

The actress announced she's engaged and pregnant.

Tatyana Ali was likely on top of the world when she announced on Friday that she's engaged and expecting a baby with her fiancé Dr. Vaughn Rasberry, but Internet trolls wasted no time putting her man on blast. This time, though, Twitter's vicious comments are way off the mark.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star found love with Rasberry, a professor at Stanford University, after they met on the dating site eHarmony. But as soon as the first picture of the couple hit the web, the mean comments started rolling in:

It goes without saying that swirly love doesn't deserve this kind of hate, but this time, it may also be way off the mark: who said Dr. Rasberry is white? In fact, there's plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise. The English literature professor teaches African-American literature at Stanford and is even writing a book called Race and the Totalitarian Century: Geopolitics in the Black Literary Imagination. While that isn't necessarily evidence that he's a person of color, it really shouldn't matter.

Congrats to Tatyana and her man, no matter what his racial background is.
