Another Reality Star Is Facing a Judge Because of Her Husband's Foolishness
Divorce isn't the worst thing that can happen when you put your marriage on a reality show: it could get you in legal trouble, too. A year after her husband, Apollo Nida, was locked away for check fraud and falsifying IDs, his wife, Phaedra Parks, could be taken down for playing a role in his shady shenaningans.
RadarOnline.com reports that The Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s defamation lawsuit with author Angela Stanton is set to go to trial after nearly four years — and it contains claims that Parks was Bonnie to Nida's Clyde. As previously reported, Parks sued Stanton over the latter's unauthorized book, Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell The Truth & Shame The Devil. Stanton claimed that Parks oversaw a “criminal enterprise” alongside husband Nida, using fake bank accounts, bad checks, stolen cars and much more.
Stanton counter sued Parks with a laundry list of claims about her life and marriage, and that suit is now headed to court despite Parks's numerous attempts to have it dismissed. The reality star has one more shot at getting it tossed out today, but if a judge rejects her request again, the case goes to trial tomorrow — and who knows what other secrets will be spilled.
