Kelly Ripa Is Literally Boycotting Michael Strahan

The jilted talk show host is done playing nice.

Kelly Ripa is on strike. The talk show host is so livid over getting dumped by her co-host, Michael Strahan, who announced earlier this week that he'll be leaving LIVE With Kelly and Michael after four years for a full-time gig on Good Morning America, that she's refusing to show up to work for "at least a week," according to sources.

The petite talk show queen was apparently "blindsided" by Strahan's sudden departure and is angry over how it all went down. She allegedly heard about it at the same time as the rest of us, and wasn't given the courtesy of a call from the brass at Disney/ABC, who produces both LIVE and GMA. In fact, Kelly is so upset that she's threatening to not return until Strahan is gone completely — if at all.
"Kelly isn't making any demands. She is very hurt that Disney hasn't even spoken to her yet so they are assuming that she isn't coming back," the source says. "She wants to wait and see what happens. She'd also like someone to do the right thing and speak to her face to face rather than plot and plan behind her back."
Strahan, meanwhile, made his first appearance on GMA since the announcement (he's been a part-time co-host on the show for a couple of years now), and extended an olive branch to Ripa. "And I am going to miss my family at LIVE, and I am going to miss sitting next to Kelly every day and having a lot of fun on the show," he said, and then thanked Ripa and LIVE producer Michael Gellman for "boosting" him up and preparing him for his new role at the network.

It'll be interesting to see where this goes. If Ripa indeed quits over this, that'll mean two new seats to fill at LIVE.
