Frenemies! Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan Were Lying for the Cameras?

Now the truth is coming out.

All for show. Sounds like the behind-the-scenes drama on LIVE with Kelly and Michael started way before Michael Strahan decided to leave the show for a permanent gig on Good Morning America.
Since the news broke, the turmoil between Strahan and his co-host Kelly Ripa has been palpable, to the point where Ripa has been refusing to even show up for work. But Strahan's departure was just the straw that broke the camel's back. According to Page Six, despite the two hosts' friendly banter in front of the cameras, things have been incredibly icy between them behind-the-scenes for years.
The pair “did not get along. It was all for the show,’’ a Ripa source said. “They could not stand each other, and whenever they communicated off-camera, it was always through their reps.
“He was having temper tantrums. He’d lose it, yelling at [Ripa] and [‘LIVE’ executive producer Michael] Gelman," the source continued. “He acted like he was in a locker room, not a dressing room.”
What's more, Ripa seems to think she's responsible for Strahan's success and is pissed she didn't even get the courtesy of advance notice that he was leaving. “She got [Strahan] started, he stepped over her without an FYI and now a nice morning show has become ABC’s newest drama,” said the source.
Looks like these two are gunning for an Emmy for Best Drama.
