Girl, Bye: Twitter Is Viciously Dragging Stacey Dash for Disrespecting Prince
Stacey Dash went waaay too far this time. The reviled political commentator is getting dragged to hell by Twitter for her comments about Prince on the day of his death. The Clueless star popped up on Fox News last night to share her thoughts on the rock icon's life and work, and she kicked off her eulogy by basically saying Prince shouldn't really be considered a Black artist.
Bish, what?
"You didn't look at him as a Black artist or an artist of any color, he was just Prince. His music just resonated with everyone, internationally," she said, seeming to imply that an artist couldn't possibly simultaneously be Black and be beloved across the world.
Twitter wasn't here for it at all, and many even offered up a proposal to the Man Upstairs to right the terrible wrong inflicted upon music lovers — and humanity — yesterday:
This latest misstep comes literally days after Dash seemingly shaded Harriet Tubman after it was announced she would replace Andrew Jackson on the face of the $20 bill. Is nothing scared to this woman?
