For those of you waiting for the next Jamie Foxx movie, you'll have to wait a little longer.
The much-anticipated Jamie Foxx starrer "The Soloist" has been pushed back from November to March 13, 2009.
Foxx plays classical celloist Nathaniel Ayers in this biopic about an L.A. Times reporter (Robert Downey, Jr.) who befriends Ayers, a homeless prodigy. There had been a lot of early Oscar buzz for both actors, but Paramount, the studio releasing the film has reportedly pushed the project into next year because of its concerns about the downturn in the economy.
That's one excuse, but the flip side of the coin is that "The Soloist" could possibly have gone up against some steep competition like "Dark Knight," "Revolutionary Road" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."
"The Soloist" will still premiere at the AFI Film Festival at the end of this month in L.A. but will not be eligible for Oscar consideration.
