The image above is the first look at G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, which is already proving to be one of the most highly anticipated films of Summer 2009. The film is a spin-off from the popular cartoon and action figures of the '80's.\r
According to Real Movie News: "The story is set at Brussels-based GIJOE, an acronym for the Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, and revolves around an international co-ed force of operatives who use high-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil org headed by a Scottish arms dealer."\r
The cast is incredibly diverse with Marlon Wayans and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Oz, Lost). Also, up and coming black actors like Jerald Garner, Jabbaar George, and TV veteran David Jean Thomas.\r
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra is in theaters August 7th, 2009.
