marlon-wayansBack in May, we interviewed Marlon Wayans for the parody film Dance Flick.  In the interview he also talked G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, which is in theaters this Friday.  Wayans plays Ripcord in the action film that is over 10 years in the making.  The film is based on the comic book and cartoon of the same name.\r
Here is what Marlon told BET.com:\r
You are in "G.I. Joe,” which a lot of people are looking forward to. What can you tell us about the film?\r
Marlon: The brother don't die in the first minute! He actually helps save the day, he doesn't get slapped around by the White bad guy and he gets the girl at the end of the day—now, she a White girl! But, he gets the girl. Honestly, at this point it's not about White, Black—it's about love is colorless to me. In today's world, I think America is mature enough for that. We got a Black President; it's kind of like the maturity of the world. What's great about this romance is it's just cute. It’s not sexual, it's a cute romance. I feel very good really about the movie. I saw it, there was a point I was looking at it and I was going, "I'm in that!" It's crazy—it has humor, explosions, romance, adrenaline and it got ninjas! That's all the ingredients for a huge summer blockbuster.
