On Friday night at The Crosby Hotel in New York City, R&B singer Ryan Leslie and the comedy team Bashir Salahuddin and Diallo Riddle presented their short film, All Access. Produced by Leslie, the flick deals with the gentrification of New York City, a place that was once edgy in the '80s but is now packed with excess consumerism. The hilarious film starred Black Thought of The Roots along with Bashir Salahuddin and Diallo Riddle, who are known for their hilarious work on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.\r
The witty All Access was packed with laughs and thought-provoking social commentary. Taking place in a public access network, the employees are struggling with a new bougie program director who wants the channel to reflect "new" New York. There is an all-out mutiny, leaving the audience with its own decision of what is gentrification.  All Access isn't agenda pushing, but has a message that you can digest through the laughter.\r
A cocktail reception sponsored by Hennessy immediately followed, which brought out Damon Dash. Bashir Salahuddin revealed this short film will not be extended, but there is another feature-length project in the works. Considering the clever comedy from Salahuddin and Riddle just in a 25 minute short, one can only imagine what viewers can get out of a full movie.
