If you are an avid moviegoer then the news about bed bugs taking over
movie theaters is giving you the creeps. First there were several movie theaters in New York City, including the legendary AMC Loews in Times Square. The bed bugs were so severe that theatre had to be shut down. AMC Loews released a statement sayiying they are doing all they can to fix the problem and the theater has now reopened.
In addition, the Magic Johnson
movie theater in Harlem had a bed bug infestation in July, which is allegedly fixed. Just recently, an AMC Loews in Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, New Jersey had an infestation of the blood-sucking bugs. An exterminator was immediately brought in.
Plus, the Toronto International Film Festival has a bed bug infestation! Toronto?! What the flick is going?! Cineplex Entertainment, the folks who are hosting the Toronto International Film Festival, said today the theaters are now bed bug free due to exterminators and trained sniffing dogs.
This is disgusting and truly ruins a movie going experience. It's like a b-rated horror film come to life!
