Valentines Day Tips From Ashanti | Style | Lifestyle
Posted Feb. 14, 2008 -- There’s no denying Ashanti’s sex appeal. She’s got the around-the-way girl vibe that has everything a man could ever want in a shorty. The kind of girl you want to take home to momma, befriend and chill with. She is hot no doubt; sexy yet still maintaining her innocence, fashionable with a hint of ghetto princess and really down to earth.

BET.com caught up with the R&B hottie to talk lingerie, romance and of course Valentine’s Day.
Is Nelly your Valentine?
Oh no you didn’t… [Laughs] Very funny. My valentine is my album. I’m in love with my album right now. I’m very excited.
Do you think Valentine’s Day is overrated?
I’m a romantic. I love the whole romance thing when it comes to Valentine’s Day. I’m a girlie girl. I’m a big mush when it comes to that. I do think it’s important to equally make the day special for the man as well.
What type of Valentine’s Day gifts would you suggest for the ladies?
It’s a very romantic day and it’s usually catered to the women. But ladies listen carefully, if you’re a smart woman, you’ll cater the day towards the man and you’ll end up getting the better gift in the end.
If it’s the black lingerie, the lacy-lacy lingerie or a movie, whatever your man is into, just make it special and from the heart and make it about the two of you guys.
What do you want for Valentine’s Day?
I need a trip! I need a trip to maybe Aspen or Bora Bora. I did a Valentine’s Day in Aspen and that was very different for me. All my other Valentine’s Days have been in hot places. I just want to get away and relax and get pampered.
