In her continued quest for world (consumer) domination, Beyonce is about to add one more goodie to her growing inventory. Just one year after the launch of her Heat perfume, next month she releases another fragrance, Heat Rush. Though it has a similar name and a similar sexy commercial, the big difference is in the scent, as this new perfume is more casual and everyday. According to Coty, the distributing company, Heat Rush is a “young, fresh, less-serious” scent, though they expect the scent—which has passion fruit sorbet and blood orange, as well as mango blossom, teak wood honey amber—to be worn by young and old.
Beyonce has already enjoyed quite a bit of success in the fragrance market. When Heat debuted last year, it sold $60,000 in its first day and was soon one of the top 10 best-selling perfumes. Expectations are just as high for Heat Rush, with hopes that it will generate worldwide retails sales of $150 million by the end of the year.
