The singer opens up about Alicia, Swizz and the divorce on hit reality show.
Faced with seeing magazine covers of her ex Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys all the time, Mashonda says she tries to stay away from the negativity. But the ex-wife couldn't resist sharing her feelings about her replacement practicing what she preaches. "[Alicia Keys] has a song called Karma…what goes around comes around, what goes up must come down. You listen to these records and feel like 'girl power', then you get this."
While King mag's one-time cover girl says she is choosing not to pay them any mind, she took a minute to school her Love and Hip Hop castmate Emily, the girlfriend of rapper Fabolous, saying, “I hope that all of her hopes and dreams don’t rest on marrying someone. That was my dream...look what happened.”
We also got a brief tour of the dream house she once shared with Swizz Beatz and son, Kaseem. With the house in foreclosure, Mashonda says she’s happy to move and close the door on that chapter.
