The reality star rescues the Celtics center from the worst dressed list.
He's usually a force to be reckoned with on the court, but Shaquille O'Neal has struggled on the fashion front. That changed once his girlfriend became his personal stylist and found ways to complement the basketball star's 7-foot, 2-inch muscular frame. Shaq is looking a lot more handsome these days.
In an interview with local station NECN, the baller’s lady love, Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander, explained how she salvaged Shaq’s style. “He’s a big guy, but he has a great body,” she said. “He’s super-sexy, and I’m like, you need to show that.” Hoopz later reached out to Shaq’s L.A. tailor and started designing pieces for his special appearances.
It was a cool grey hooded blazer Shaq wore on David Letterman that caused a fashion frenzy, and soon Hoopz and her styling skills were in high-demand. “Everyone went crazy,” she admits. “There were all types of requests.”
Her man’s makeover opened up doors, and now Hoopz is in the process of designing a big and tall men’s fashion line. She is also working on a fitness program that incorporates self-defense techniques.
