Maya Moore is First Woman to Rep Jordan Brand

Who run the world? Girls! Maya Moore, a 22-year-old basketball superstar, just signed a historic deal with Nike’s Jordan Brand. The sensation is the first female signee to the brand and she joins power athletes Derek Jeter, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Andre Johnson.
Nike and the Jordan family expressed excitement about having Moore as a part of the team. “I am thrilled to welcome Maya Moore into the Jordan Brand. Not only has Maya proven to be a prolific winner on the court, but her hunger and determination to make an impact off the court makes her a valuable addition to the Jordan family," Michael Jordan said in a press release.
This deal comes on the heels of Moore being selected as this year’s WNBA number one draft pick. The 6-foot star lead her UConn team to two championship titles in 2009 and 2010. "It’s an honor to represent the Jordan brand," she says.
