If You’ve Got It Flaunt It?

Serena Williams has us wondering after her eye-popping hot pink look at last night’s ESPYs.

You didn’t even have to be watching last night’s ESPYS to take a wild guess what the Twitter trending topic “#DamnSerena” was all about.

The tennis player left no asset behind last night (July 13) when she sauntered onto the red carpet at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles in a Rachel Roy design with sparkly Christian Louboutin heels. If the hot pink color didn’t command attention, the plunging neckline and her “girls” sitting on 22s or her oiled up legs were sure enough to do the job, then BAM! Whenever she turned around cameras and video crews were sure to pan into her infamous derriere that puts Kim Kardashian, J.Lo and Beyonce’s to shame. Her booty has almost gotten as much attention over the years as her ability to crush it on the court, and last night it seemed to take on a life of its own.  #DamnSerena indeed!

The commentary seemed split though: while some championed Serena for showing off her athletic curves others wondered if she was doing too much.

Serena has admitted that she wasn’t always comfortable with her body and said she once struggled to find clothes that would flatter her shape. Last year she told Harper’s Bazaar: “I was 23 when I realized that I wasn’t Venus. She’s totally different…I’m super-curvy. I have big boobs and this massive butt. She’s tall and she’s like a model and she fits everything. I was growing up, wanting to be her, wanting to look like her, and I was always fitting in her clothes, but then one day I couldn’t.” She pauses. “But it’s fine. Now I’m obviously good, but it’s a weird thing.”

You’ve got to give Serena three cheers for her current healthy body image and super-sized...confidence, but what did you think of her let-it-all-hang-out look? Sound off in our comments!
