Thank goodness Barbie has a big wardrobe!
After Nicki Minaj’s wacky MTV VMA’s “Harajuku-inspired” costume (metal dress, pink tutu and stuffed-animal detailed stocking, oh why?) the multi-personality emcee pulls a style 180 on the newsstands in the October 2011 issue of Glamour.
There’s still plenty of personality in the Young Money princess’ feature, thanks to bold colors, fur, starry print and fab shades that make up her Dolce & Gabbana, Tom Ford, Christian Louboutin and Giuseppe Zanotti fashion looks. But don't worry, Nicki doesn’t lose her signature touches: a platinum bob wig and popping lip color. More of this chic Nicki, please! This is how you might imagine the animated star will dress when she transitions out of the gimmicks, but during the interview she admits she’s probably more toned down than you think. “In my downtime, I’m the most low-key person in the world.”
Nicki also reveals her obsession with Marilyn Monroe and touches on some of her insecurities. "We all have insecurities, but you have to know you're beautiful," Nicki said. "I'm comfortable in my skin, and I don't feel the need to change for anyone."
Be sure to check out the issue, on stands September 6.
