Tyra Banks wowed us when she announced that not only would she be heading back to college this year, but she's enrolling in the prestigious Harvard Business School, and it hasn't been a complete strut down the catwalk for the model.

"I think they make it hard on purpose," Banks said at her Modelland book signing event in New York. "Once you get done reading one assignment, you get another."

The program involves three-week sessions a year for three years and though the classes are intense, this schedule gives Banks time to focus on her other ventures. She might only be attending college now, but she's managed to turn herself into a businesswoman who's landed on Forbes's list of the highest-paid women in prime time. A successful modeling career that has given way to hosting a daytime talk show and producing the popular America’s Next Top Model earns her an annual income of over $30 million.

She's also added author to her resume with her young adult novel, Modelland, which was released earlier this month. She says the fictional story about four girls accepted into an exclusive modeling school is loosely based on her experiences.
