Rihanna and Solange are two of our favorite risk-taking fashionistas in the game, and while we may never see them in an entire outfit worn by someone else, they both recently put their own spin on Topshop’s Moto Flag Print Hot Pants.
Rihanna wore the high-cut shorts while dining at Nozomi Restaurant in the U.K. last week during a tour stop. The Talk That Talk singer attempted to winterize the barely-there bottoms with a Balmain Hommes fur vest over a dark denim jacket, a pair of black leather Christian Louboutin booties, bangles and black Ray-Ban sunglasses. She finished her outfit with a fall trend that’s been popping up all over the place this season: suspender tights (hers were by House of Holland).
Solange got her “Party” on in the hot pants while dancing and spinning on the 1s and 2s in Beyoncé’s summer anthem music video. She paired the high-cut shorts with a floral bra top, high-top sneakers and long braids to complete her throwback look.
