Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon might be able to jet off to Paris to celebrate their twins' first birthdays, but they also take the time to pay it forward. The couple attended a fundraiser at the Opera Gallery in New York City and ended up dropping tens of thousands for charity.
At the event, which benefitted the Urban Arts Partnership, Cannon bid $21,000 — the highest of the night — for a Project Canvas shoe designed by Audemars Piguet along with a diver watch. There were other celebrity-designed shoes up for auction including one by Carey that BET chairman Debra Lee scored for $2,000 — the highest bid for a single pair of shoes that evening.
