Glenford Nunez is showing how beautiful natural hair can be. The Baltimore-based photographer's "Coiffure Project" features beautiful black-and-white and color photos of Black women and their natural hair. The project began after Nunez took photos of his assistant and decided to add to the collection.
“I had no idea until I started putting the photos together,” Nunez told The Huffington Post. “People have thanked me for what I’m doing for natural hair and Black women, but I genuinely had no idea. It’s a super awesome feeling though.”
So far, Nunez has taken stunning photos of 10 women — a mixture of professional models and street styles he comes across — and hopes to create a coffee table book in the future.
“Now that I know about the movement,” Nunez said, "I’m hoping this project will really bring the beauty of natural hair to the forefront.”
