The bride will wear a three-piece dress she designed herself.
Now that the man who murdered her family has been tried and convicted, Jennifer Hudson can look forward to her pending nuptials with her fiancé, David Otunga. The couple tells People that they are "very excited" for the wedding.
"That was something that was hanging over our heads for so long, and now we feel like we can finally breathe a sigh of relief," Otunga, 32, says. "Everything is good now."
He says that watching Hudson take care of their 2-year-old son, David Jr., who will be participating in the ceremony, has made him love her even more. "I'm blessed to have such a wonderful woman in my life who cares for our child so lovingly," he adds.
The date is still a closely guarded secret, but the bride-to-be has said her dress will be a three-piece design she created herself that will reveal itself in layers as she walks down the aisle.
“It’s a show. It has three pieces to it. I designed it myself," she told Dateline back in January. "It has a coat for the entrance and then when I get ready to walk, you take that part off. And then it’s another dress. And then by the time I get to the alter, it’s a whole new dress.”
