Solange Knowles knows a thing or two about mixing styles and patterns flawlessly so it's obvious why Madewell chose the funky DJ for its fall 2012 campaign that bears the tag line "Mix Well. Madewell."

Knowles will appear in the ads and catalog, both out in September, showing us how to take the brand's jeans and tops and mix and match to create a slew of fun fall options.

“I know that because I wear so much color and print, I might not want to mix so many textures,” she says about how to mix mindfully. “I am also attentive to my body. I love the way some of the oversized, extremely exaggerated, boxy proportions look on some girls … but it just doesn’t work for me."

She also takes into account how her hair looks with her outfit saying, "[It] might manipulate how something looks on me versus a model."

Are you excited to see what Madewell looks she pulls off for the brand's campaign? Where are you currently looking for inspiration for your own fall wardrobe? Sound off in the comments!
