Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas wowed the public with her performance and few cities are as proud of the 16-year-old gymnast as her hometown of Virginia Beach. Two of the city's residents painted a mural of her likeness against an American flag and the words "Way to go Gabby."

Brothers Todd and Eric Lindbergh completed the 9-by-30-foot mural in four days. Todd Lindbergh says he found out that Douglas was from Virginia Beach and the idea behind the mural came the moment he saw her on television at a medals ceremony.

The town will surely love praising their fierce little athlete and Douglas, who heard about the project while still in London last week, was floored by the gesture.

"WOW!!! This is amazing!! #sohonored," Douglas tweeted.

Douglas is also currently featured on the box of Kellogg's Corn Flakes.
