The singer says her nails are "fun accessories."
Estelle has funky style running all the way to her fingertips. The British singer is no stranger to using jewels and sequins to add pizzazz to her manicures and during a recent interview with Stylist.com she talked about her nail art, tips and beauty must-haves while she tours.
Estelle's fancy manis are handled by Naomi Yasuda, a nail design artist in New York City. "She's been doing my nails in NYC for a few years now. She's wonderfully creative, and just a great person," she said before explaining why she loves getting her nails done in splendid fashion. "They are like fun accessories, just on the end of your hands."
While she performs on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, Estelle said the key to looking great while on the road is remembering that less is more. "I always do my own makeup and hair on the road. Keep it simple. You will sweat, so for photography a lot of makeup is never the look."
But when she's not hitting the stage and rocking out in front of the masses, Estelle takes it down a few more notches wearing just a bit of concealer, eyeliner and keeps her lips moisturized with lip balm.
"I pull my hair down from its wrap and mostly wear a scarf tied up as a turban."
