One of the hottest accessories women are toting around these days are nails. So when news broke that Mariah Carey would be joining Nicki Minaj and Serena Williams with her very own nail polish collection for OPI, naturally we got butterflies. Will Mimi go glitter crazy or decadent with diamonds? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.  
According to WWD, Mariah has signed on to create two collections for the brand. The premiere line is slated to drop in January, with the second collection following closely behind.
The artistic director of OPI tells WWD, "Nails are a part of her personality. I really have always looked for celebrities for who nails are very important and not something you just Photoshop on a picture… Mariah’s classic but she can be edgy at certain times. She’s very elegant…and has this very glitzy, glamour side to her.”
This has been quite the year for Mariah, who’s joining American Idol as a judge and also working on a new album.
She succeeds at hitting high notes and mothering adorable twins, which leaves us to conclude that this polish is destined for greatness.
