Critics say her badly styled hair was a distraction during her speech.
It's true what they say: you can't please everybody. Michelle Obama and her bangs have caused another stir because of her appearance during the G8 Summit in Belfast. The first lady, who's been trying to grow out her bangs by sweeping them to the side, has riled up the masses on Twitter because some feel that her bangs were a distraction during her speech on Monday.
Criticisms ranged from advising FLOTUS to get those bangs out of her eyes to saying she looked "cross-eyed" due to the "bad haircut." One commenter wrote, "Michelle Obama having terrible bangs malfunction" and added that her stylist wasn't able to contend with the city's weather.
While we do see how the bangs could get in the way for FLOTUS, we don't understand why the public has let her hair get in the way of her message: how the youth can help restore peace in Northern Ireland.
"I have never felt more optimistic," she told the audience of 2,000 students. "Time and again I have seen young people choosing to live together, choosing to lift each other up, choosing to leave behind the conflicts and prejudices of the past and create a bright future for us all."
"We believe that you all have the ability to make a mark on this world that will last for generations to come. We are so proud of you. We expect great things."
