Rihanna is such a style icon that it's no surprise that brands are tripping over themselves to feature the Barbadian beauty in their campaigns. The latest acquisition for the singer is the spring/summer 2014 campaign for Balmain, which she announced over Instagram Tuesday with a photo from her campaign shoot.
"Guess who's the new BALMAIN Woman???!!!!!!! #BALMAIN #MommaImadeIt #CaribbeanGalRunTing," she wrote for the caption.
Rihanna has been a longtime fan of the French label and the label's creative director, Olivier Rousteing, told WWD that working with Rih Rih was "a dream come true."
"When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete," Rousteing said.
"Rihanna embodies my vision of Balmain in this new campaign," he continued. "In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world."
The campaign was shot in New York City last month by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and the singer was styled by her own Mel Ottenberg. The shoot takes place in a steam room in which she's wearing a pink-and-white kimono coat with white lace gold-toed and heeled boots in one look and an off-the-shoulders denim-and-gold ensemble in a second look.
