Jennifer Lopez has us wishing we had her will power to maintain that body she's flaunting so well as UK Glamour's March cover girl. The American Idol judge chatted about how she loves to stay in shape, but sometimes feels like taking a break from working out so hard.
"I've got an athletic body, I've worked out my whole life and I've been incredibly disciplined when I need to be. Now I'm just a little bit more relaxed in that area. I feel like this is who I am. But it's also hard to shed that old skin," Lopez said.
She's definitely earned a break as the 44-year-old singer could give these young up-and-comers a run for their money on the stage and on the red carpet. But she said that when it comes to pushing herself, it's hard to let up even when she's already on top of her game.
"I'm OK looking this way, but at the same time that very ambitious, determined girl inside me is like, 'Come on, let's be in the best shape ever and really show everybody.' Then the other side of me thinks: 'Let's just relax on the beach chair.'"
Lopez also admitted to not going overboard with food cheats, which we're sure is the key to that killer body even when she decides to skip a day or two at the gym.
"I'm not one to overindulge. It doesn't make me feel good. Some people find it comforting to sit down and eat a whole pint of Häagen-Dazs, but honestly that would make me throw up. I don't think I've ever eaten that much," she said.
