Iggy Azalea continues to blaze her way into our hearts with her fashion and lyrical stylings. On the latest cover of Billboard magazine, the Australian rapper poses in a nude and jewel embellished The Blonds top. Inside, her Jason Rembert-styled photo shoot gives her fans a glimpse of the singer's sexy yet playful personality with daring looks like a red hot Franziska Fox dress and a curve hugging Franziska Fox mini skirt with cutouts along one thigh. Some of the photos make the blonde beauty look ethereal, a soft departure from the usual brazen persona she portrays through her music.
In her interview, Azalea talked about the criticisms she's received because she's so different from the typical players in the hip hop game.
"We get so caught up, especially in rap, with what's authentic, and I wish people would think more about what the f- that even means," Azalea said. "One critic was like, 'Why didn't you talk about more Australian things?' I don't understand why I'm supposed to write a song about living in the outback and riding a kangaroo to be authentic."
Instead, she's paved her path her way, lying to her mom and leaving home to chase her dream on her own at the age of 16. Azalea also opened up about recognizing that she needed to move to America when she found the crowd in Sydney, Australia to be too practical for her ("I need some real mental people to be around, I need a lot of bats--t crazy people who are completely excessive and ridiculous," she said). And despite being the first to have debut Hot 100 hits in the top and second spots simultaneously since the Beatles, she doesn't care much about the accomplishment.
"It doesn't mean anything," she said. "I'd rather be The Rolling Stones."
