Oprah Winfrey always looks stunning and glam on the covers of O Magazine, but for the publication's September issue, the media mogul is stripping things down to the basics. On the latest cover, she shows off her body in a black Capezio catsuit that clings to her curves.
"I like pretending I'm a movie star," she said of the cover before adding that she had some anxieties about baring so much for the world to see.
"I'm feeling pretty phenomenal on this cover. I was a little apprehensive about doing this cover in a bodysuit because as Maya Angelou says in her 'Phenomenal Woman,' 'I'm not built to suit a fashion model size.' But it's like something I've never done, it's really kind of exciting," she said.
It does take a gutsy woman to know that she might not fit into the rail-thin standard of beauty and still own her gorgeousness. That's a message we should all get behind. The September issue is all about makeovers and making easy changes to transform your life and Winfrey shared some of the ways she continues to improve herself.
"The best way I know for sure to stay in steady makeover mode is to take care of yourself. To feed yourself with love and loving thoughts. To eat food that's delicious to you and your body. To engage in loving practices, like giving yourself the gift of stillness at least five minutes a day. To surround yourself with people who bring you light, and to banish all forms of negative energy," she said.
