Lupita Nyong'o was chosen as the cover girl for Glamour’s 2014 Women of the Year issue and for the magazine's annual event for its honorees, the actress looked stunning as usual. The 12 Years a Slave star attended the festivities at Carnegie Hall in New York City in a white couture Chanel dress with embroidered details, matching shorts and Kurt Geiger "Anja" heels.

In a recent interview with Styleblazer, Nyong'o's hairstylist, Ted Gibson, dished on her look for the evening and the products by L'Oreal, which sponsored the gala.

"I started off wetting her hair down with a water bottle to give her hair moisture. Then applied my own concoction of Kerastase Elixir Ultime, L’Oreal Professionnel's Gelee Cashmere and Leonor Greyl's Serum de Soie Sublimateur," he said.

"Next, while blow drying to dry her hair, I used a pick to fluff it out and to give it volume. And I finished with L'Oreal Professionnel's Perfect Shimmer for added shine and L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold to hold the look in place."

The end result was perfection, and we can't help but be jealous of Nyong'o's radiant skin and smile. Not only is she gorgeous on the outside, but having remained super humble in this blitz of fame makes it a no-brainer as to why Glamour gave her its highest honor.

"I am one lucky hairdresser," Gibson said. "I have worked with her for over one year now. In that year, I have been able to do countless magazine covers and red carpet events with her and the person I met then is still the same person she is today. All of those great moments have not changed her."
