Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow, Maxwell Osborne Nominated for CFDA Awards
Public School design duo Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne have been nominated for two CFDA Awards. The pair will be vying for both the Menswear Designer of the Year Award and, having launched their first womenswear collection last fall, the Swarovski Award for Womenswear.
The nominations were announced during an event in New York City Monday evening, which was hosted by CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg and Nadja Swarovski at the Weather Room at Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. Swarovski Award recipients will receive financial support from Swarovski as well as access to the company’s “vast and innovative Swarovski crystal resources.”
Chow and Osborne are starting to become regular fixtures in the CFDA list of nominees as the New York City natives continue to make an impression on the council year after year. In 2013, Public School was named the winner of the 2013 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Award and nabbed the CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear. Will they accomplish the same with their new collection of ready-to-wear designs for women?
The 2015 CFDA Awards will take place June 1 in New York City’s Lincoln Center. For a full list of this year’s nominees, click here.
