Beyoncé might grab all the attention when she’s on stage, but her dancers don’t fall too far behind Mrs. Carter when it comes to looking on point. Bey’s lead dancer Ashley Everett recently sat down with to talk about her beauty tricks, how she maintains her big and beautifully natural curls, and her makeup tips for on-the-go.

“As far as makeup, when I just do it myself I don’t put a lot on,” Everett said about her beauty routine for her off days. “I think if you have a good blush and bronzer and a good ol’ red lip — Ruby Woo and MAC — and some mascara, anybody could look beautiful.”

Everett has an enviable head of hair, which Bey convinced her to dye bright red at one point, and the dancer said it takes work to keep them shiny and healthy.

“I definitely have to have hair products because you see this big ol’ thing on my head, it’s gotta be tamed,” she said. “I can’t just like put water in and have nothing. So I love Moroccanoil, that’s one of my favorites. They have a great curl cream that I put in when my hair is wet and it helps define the curl and keep it moisturized. I’ve gotten really into coconut oil because it’s natural and helps your hair grow and stay healthy, and stops it from being dry. I’ll like drench my hair in that!”
