Kendall Jenner, Joan Smalls Model for Balmain With Their Sisters
Kendall Jenner and Joan Smalls are used to contorting their bodies for high-fashion photo shoots, but for Balmain's fall campaign, their sisters are getting in on the action. The fashion house's creative director Olivier Rousteing recruited Kendall's little sis, Kylie Jenner, and Joan's sibling, Erika Smalls, for a striking spread that will debut in the August issue of Vogue.
The siblings pose together in dramatic, gold-fringed evening wear in the photographs, serving us all kinds of glamour. Rousteing, who shared the images on Instagram Thursday morning, says the campaign is a "celebration of the unique and unconditional love of siblings." But judging from the moody photos, it could very well be about sibling rivalry as well.
"They represent the fresh, diverse and open spirit of a new generation of fashion," he adds. "Watching them work together also made clear to me the universality of an age-old truth: the truly powerful strength, support, and love that family members can provide to one another."
Rousteing is perhaps as well-known as part of Kendall's big half-sister Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West's inner circle as he is for his designs. The couple frequently hangs with the young designer when visiting Paris and Kim has rocked Balmain on many a red carpet — and even during her wedding weekend! — over the past couple of years.
Kendall's bestie Gigi Hadid and her sister, fellow model Bella Hadid, and models Armando and Fernando Cabral are also part of the campaign. Grab a copy of Vogue's August issue to see the full spread!
