Jaden Smith to Pose for CR Fashion Book’s First Men’s Issue
CR Fashion Book is expanding! One of the top publications on all things style will be adding a men’s edition to its family later this year. CR Men’s Book will debut September 10 as part of CR Fashion Book’s Fall/Winter 2015 issue and Jaden Smith will be one of the fashionable dudes to grace the pages of the inaugural issue. With last week’s inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men's, it’s clear that the menswear industry is calling for our attention, so we’re excited to see and read former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld’s views on the latest in men’s dressing.
Modeling for a top fashion magazine isn’t all that Smith has been up to as the 17-year-old actor has been busy filming in Brooklyn, New York, for the new Netflix series The Get Down. The musical drama series centers around a group of streetwise misfits from the South Bronx as well as the birth of hip hop, punk and disco in New York City during a time of financial turmoil. Smith will play 18-year-old Marcus 'Dizzee' Kipling, “a psychedelically talented and enigmatic graffiti writer from the Bronx.” The show is set in the 1970s, so cue in the Afros and funky outfits from the era.
The 13-episode series will premiere on Netflix in 2016. Will you be watching?
