Rihanna is truly a style chameleon, moving seamlessly from grunge to glamour and everything in between. After spending a few months on the edgier side of the fashion spectrum with her new Dior campaign (watch the highlights below) and the neon-noir style of the "B***h Better Have My Money" video, she's turning the dial all the way back to classic, feminine glam in the ad campaign for her new fragrance, RiRi by Rihanna.
The singer channels Barbie, the Material Girl and Elizabeth Taylor all at once in the striking ad, which features RiRi ensconced in pink satin and pearls with teased, voluminous hair and a frosty pink lip. The candy-coated look would be altogether too much for someone lacking RiRi's confidence and command, but — as usual — she works it.
She teased the first look of her latest project on Instagram this week, but no word yet when RiRi by Rihanna will hit shelves. However, we hope this gives the Mattel corporation an idea for a limited-edition Rihanna Barbie — just in time for Christmas!
